Setting of "Sorrow of war"

What I thought was kind of interesting is that in this book the jungle of screaming soul is real and it at the mountains near Laos border. But real question is it the same as they mension in the book. The place that got my attention in the book would have to be Crocodile Lake because it's a big old marshland that hot, humid, and hard to walk through. I even said in the book about things " Birds, disturb by some movement, flew out ahead of them, up and into the heat of the day before turning back into the cool to land on higher branches. As they began to move slowly forward..." (pg 189)

famous battle site in vietnam

If I was to plan a trip to a famous battle site in vietnam it would have to be Hamber Hill because I heard lots of interesting storys about it and it's time. When I get there I would take pictures and sovenirs to also remind me of the trip. I woulld make the trip because it souls interesting to go to site where history took place at see where they fought at and where the base camp was and all. To see a picture of soldiers on Hamber Hill go to this web page.

My qoute on "Good Form"

I like how in the book he kind of puts a twist on what he says in the "Good Form"because he says"I want you to know why story-truth is truer sometimes than happening-truth." That means that you could probably believe a lie before the truth sometimes because of what you see in that person or believe in that person.

My responds on the copyright page

He's says this is a fiction book because most of the stuff he say is more fiction then true. But in "Good Form" he's said he didn't ever kill a man but he was there. I think he did kill the man but he wants us to see that story truth can be more real then the original truth because if you think of it he doesn't even sound like a man that would shoot another man in his head but he did it. It affects the novel because it puts more of a twist in the book.

My respond to "Good Form"

In this chapter good form he says that he didn't kill the man but he say even that story is made up he did but I think what he is trying to say is he's been in the war because he was a soldier but it's been so long that he's killed anyone he made himself forget about ever doing it. So he is pretty much is trying to forget about killing someone.

Quotation on the chapter speaking of courage

The quote that stood out to me the most was when Norman said "I almost won the silver star" that had me wondering because this man has 7 metals of bravery and honor and he wanted the silver star out of all of them that must mean that silver star must mean more then all the metals he's gotten.
